Paleo Avocado Brownie

Need a healthy fix for your chocolate cravings? Try this Paleo Avocado Brownies. It's super easy and it's Gluten-free.

There are many avocado brownie recipes available but we kept this one nut-free and less sweet.

If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth, please go ahead and double the amount of coconut sugar or double the amount of vegan chocolate chips used in this recipe.

We love to add a scoop of Foodcraft Kumquat Coconut Yogurt when serving. It has a great flavour balance with the sweet and sour plus adds on to the creaminess! Enjoy!

Crab Cakes

I've used this recipe to make fish cakes before and I think it works wonderfully with salmon or tuna. I knew I really had to work up the flavours to compensate the use of tinned crab, and as my partner had a taste of these and said "they're good, but I can't really taste the crab", I knew my mission had been accomplished.

Long melon and almond soup with lemon and mint

What I was really feeling like was a refreshing, healthy and good-doing soup, so I came up with this lemony and minty version which, quite frankly, was exactly what I was hoping for.

Creamy roasted chestnut and quinoa soup

Quinoa with Figs and Goat Cheese

Every year I wait eagerly for the fig season. I find this gorgeous fruit utterly fascinating, delicate and glamorous. It makes me happy just to see them appearing in stores and markets, and I instantly start thinking of recipes to use them for. There is no wrong way of enjoying this fruit: it's delicious on its own complexity, it pairs wonderfully with honey and nuts and it is the Queen of any cheese platter.

It's Friday and my home smells like muffins. Can you think of any better way to start the weekend?
I love how delicious and guilt-free these vanilla and lavender muffins turned out. I didn't use any oil or butter, and thanks to almond meal they are gluten-free, too! Lavender is such a gorgeous addition to these muffins, and it gives them a certain kind of luxurious feel.

I hope you'll have a lovely and relaxing weekend!

Chestnut and apple crumble

I've been snacking on those gorgeous Pink Lady apples we picked during our country-side weekend and I've taken some of the delicious chestnuts to my partner's Japanese mum who absolutely adores them. I was keen to find a tasty way to combine both of these autumn ingredients and this chestnut and apple crumble is the perfect answer.
