Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Beef Cheeks
  • 2 cups Beef Stock
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 2 pieces Carrots chopped
  • 1 piece Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 sprigs Thyme
  • 2 pieces Bay Leaves

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pot, add onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. 4. Pour in red wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it reduce by half.
  5. 5. Add beef stock, thyme, and bay leaves. Return beef cheeks to the pot.
  6. 6. Cover and transfer to the oven. Braise for about 3 hours, or until the beef cheeks are tender.
  7. 7. Remove from oven, discard thyme and bay leaves. Serve hot.
