Buckeyes Recipe
Delicious peanut butter and chocolate treats that resemble the nuts of the Ohio buckeye tree.

Main Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Peanut butter
- 1 cup Butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 6 cups Powdered sugar
- 4 cups Semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons Shortening
In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth.
Insert a toothpick into each peanut butter ball and dip into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of peanut butter visible at the top.
Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
