- 8 soft shell crabs cleaned
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
1. Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
2. Dip each crab in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
4. Fry crabs until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
