Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 16 large mushrooms stems removed, caps cleaned
  • ½ lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff mushroom caps with sausage mixture and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until mushrooms are tender and tops are golden brown.
