- 1 jar Grape Leaves rinsed and drained
- 1 cup Rice uncooked
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce
- 1 cup Water
1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, ground beef, onion, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
2. Place a grape leaf shiny side down. Add a spoonful of the mixture in the center. Fold the sides over and roll up tightly.
3. Place the stuffed grape leaves seam side down in a large pot. Repeat until all leaves are used.
4. Pour tomato sauce and water over the grape leaves. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
5. Serve warm or at room temperature.
